The New Baby.

On this trip I will see a new baby! He will probably like Spider-Man when he is older just like his brothers Joel and Seth. The baby was not out when Mary (the baby’s mom) when she sent the message.

If you are wondering what the gender is the gender is a boy.

Savannah, Charlie, Seth and Joel. One more to come!

My New Luggage

I got new bags from Santa Claus in 2007. To get all the bags you have to zip and zip and zip and zip. I am going to pack toys to play with and books to read. I am also going to pack clothes to wear. Daddy said the bags will be useful soon. I thought that too.

Our Beach House

We decided to not rush around the country this time. We have rented a beach house at Westbrook Beach (between Ballito and La Mercy) and will be staying there for 10 of the 15 days we will be in SA. Mom, Cindy, Charlie and family will be staying with us for the duration. It sleeps 10 (we hope). More info about the place here:

They have not officially acknowledged our final payment (!), which has us worried a tad...but if they do, we look forward to falling asleep to the sound of the waves.

Update 02/07/2008: They got and acknowledged our payment, so the house is ours...woot!

Update 02/11/2008: Trip Dates are as follows:

  • 16 Mar, depart for SA
  • 17-20 March, in Empangeni
  • 20-30 March, at the house in Westbrook Beach
  • 30 Mar - 3 Apr, Visiting Crazy Relatives
  • 3-5 Apr, back to Emp
  • 6 Apr, leave for home

Thinking back...I hurt my foot and the hotel

One day while I was in Johannesburg. I was playing in Charlie and Mary’s garage. When I was jumping, I got a metal piece of Caleb’s scooter in my foot. I cried and cried then daddy took me inside and he took the metal out of my foot with tweezers.

When we went to salt rock hotel .Every night we kept the windows open to hear the waves. Every day we went to the beach to play. While we were out we saw dolphins.

Thinking back...My Safari (2005)

When we went on a safari we saw giraffes and the grown-ups saw a baby giraffe! Just when we were about to get off the cart we saw rhinos. Caleb and I thought they were going to stick there horns in our bottoms. Then right before we went into the building there was a goat. It had long sharp horns and Caleb and I thought it would stick its horns in our bottoms.

The lions followed Joel and Seth with their eyes. They wanted to eat Joel and Seth.

Our Previous Trip - 2005

On our previous trip we did a bunch of traveling. Durban, Empangeni, Johannesburg and Bloemfontein...all in three weeks!

We visited Aunty Cookie and Uncle Owen in Bloemfontein. They had lots of chickens that chased us all over the place!

We stayed at the Salt Rock hotel. Calib, Cindy and Ouma stayed with us, but poor Calib was sick with tick-bit fever the whole time :(

We celebrated Seth's first Birthday at Charlie and Mary's house in Johannesburg.
